The mission of the Purchasing Department is to support the
educational, research and public service roles of Saint Louis University
by assisting departments in obtaining high quality goods and services
at the lowest cost, in the time needed and in a highly ethical manner.
We achieve our mission through:
- Continuous review and revision as required of our processes to afford
our University customers easier and faster purchasing methods.
- Negotiation of competitive contracts, particularly for high-volume
purchases, utilizing the buying power of the University and related
organizations.
- Assuring that purchases fulfill the requirements of our University
customers.
- Acting in an advisory capacity and providing an information resource/exchange
for current and future acquisitions for our University customers.
