Primary Function:Financial
Services is responsible for reviewing non-salary financial documents (excluding
Health Sciences) to ensure compliance with University policies and procedures,
generally accepted accounting principles, and mandatory requirements imposed
by external agencies. In addition, Financial Services is the central contact
point in the Controller's Office for departmental inquiries regarding financial
statements, documents, and Financial Records System (FRS) screens. Financial
Services maintains and monitors FRS access and security, the on-line requisitioning
approval table, and account attributes; processes requests for new accounts;
and provides FRS training for departmental users.
